G. M. Barnard grew up in the Pacific Northwest enjoying the outdoors by camping with family and making trips to the Oregon coast. Once her three children were grown and out of the house she was able to retire from her career as a paralegal. Now she gardens, travels, bakes for the grandkids and writes the stories that have long swirled around in her head.
Her first book, Last Harvest, a murder mystery that takes place in rural Yamhill County, came out in October of 2019. Her forthcoming second novel, Emerald Glade, is her first try at the fantasy genre and gave her the freedom to create another world complete with four moons, magical beings and an evil overlord who outlaws magic in all forms, and the excitement of planning his overthrow and demise.
